Yeah, medals are what shows a person's achievments in being rewarded them. It wouldn't be special if everyone had one because no one would e like "OH man you got that medal! Lucky!" ;)

I've been on forums before and this is the first time I've seen a forum actually give people medals/awards, it's not like if we didn't have these the forum would die.

Well, in my opininon medals are things that people get very excited and happy for when they recieve them. I think it is definately an amazing feature for a forum to have. ^_^
