has there been any word on new rs/hm games? I remember before islands was in the US a listing for wind and twin... I think twin.
now wind is in the us and twin is getting close and I see no info on any new releases in jp other then rf oceans. this almost makes me whonder if rs/hm has been dropped.

I don't believe Marvelous has dropped Harvest Moon.
When it comes to console Harvest Moon games, they generally release them at least a year or two apart, and with Nintendo preparing to release the Wii U within the next year or two (supposedly), they'll probably wait until that's out before starting on a new title.
On the handheld side of things, Rune Factory 4 has been announced for the 3DS, so you should have that to look forward to soon.
With that in mind, I'd expect that we'll hear something about a new Harvest Moon title within the next six to eight months. Just remember that in the last year, the 3DS came out and the Wii U and PS Vita were officially announced. With a shift in systems comes a delay in third party games.

One thing that irritates me about Marvelous/Natsume is the lack of an actual Harvest Moon game on the Playstation 3. I mean, it's not as if Nintendo owns the copyrights to every Harvest Moon game that's going to be released. Heck, Save The Homeland and even A Wonderful Life Special Edition was on the Playstation 2.
Hey Marvelous, make an HM game for the PS3. Capiche?!

Oh Christopher, you need to go there and have them "say hello to your little friend." The PS3, volume wise, has not sold as well as the PS2.
They had HM:BtN on the PS. Innocent Life, HM:AWLSE, and HM:STH on PS2.
The PS3 will get a version of Oceans, according to IGN.
HM:BtN will be released on PSN, I believe.
*edit* confirmed by

Man, I wouldn't mind that either. I could do with a whole new cast and location too. And a different character designer. I hated the ToT/AP art style.
Maybe they could bring the old-timey European village flair that's been present in a couple of handheld games to a major console game. I rather enjoyed that atmosphere.

Natsume is bringing A Tale of Two Towns (Twin Villages) to DS and making a 3DS version.
Marvelous has confirmed a Harvest Moon 3D is in the works.

I think it would be kinda cool if they rir a hd remake of all the harvest moon games, I bet they could get them all on a blue ray disk. duno if they could do a hm64 remake on ps3 thou, copyright problem maybe.
but I realy liked hm64, there were so many random events the fun never ended. I never did get the crop teleporter thou.

Well, you don't ACTUALLY get the teleporter. It's just a fun little scene with Rick. Personally, my favorite scenes in that game have to be the scene where Taro and Jiro have a litter of puppies, and the scene where Popuri freaks out about getting a bug in her hair and Maria walks up all calm and is just like, "Oh it's a Such-and-Such-Bug! How cute!"
I don't know how I feel about a remake of that game. It's my absolute favorite Harvest Moon game, so if they change anything (like personalities, dialogue, general gameplay, etc.) I'll probably have a hard time liking it.
I always did want them to make a girl version of it though... :/

There just aren't enough PS3 owners to warrant Marvelous into making a game for the system. PSP, Wii, 3DS/DS, and soon to be Wii U are Harvest Moon/Rune Factory sellers.
Sorry Chris. :(

well actually the ps3 base in japan is technically big enough. however xbox is probably to low on the popularity chart for it. thats probably why they canned the ps3/xbox title. thou if it was as far along as the article subjets I would think they should have finished it and atleast recouped some of the money.

I wouldn't mind a remake of AWL for the 3DS. That would be a game that was completely worth it. :)

I bet what they'll so is see how the sales go for RFO. If they go really well on the PS3 then I doubt they wont expand on the HM/RF franchise. I hope they do, PS3 FTW!
